Jerrod Carter joins Wheaton World Wide Moving as CIO

Indianapolis, Indiana |

Wheaton World Wide Moving is enhancing its ability to serve customers through its use and management of technology by hiring Jerrod Carter at its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Carter has had a long information technology career in the Indianapolis area working for companies like Eli Lilly and Company, Conseco, Pepperweed Consulting, and most recently, Perficient.

Adding Carter to Wheaton's executive staff is a move designed to help harness the tools provided by Wheaton's proprietary software technology and that available via the Internet. For much of Carter's 20-year career, he has concentrated on infrastructure management, automation, application development and measurement and analysis of how employees and customers utilize the technology with which they're presented.

"Jerrod will be a tremendous asset to Wheaton, its subsidiaries and its agents across the country," said Mark Kirschner, Wheaton's CEO. "As the sixth largest commercial van line in the United States, we must constantly adapt to our customer's needs. Much of that flexibility and accommodation will necessarily occur in the IT space. Jerrod will enhance and accelerate our efforts to do that. We're glad he's on board."
