Indianapolis, Ind. – Announced recently at the Wheaton 59th Annual Partnership Conference, Rex Swing, Vice President of Government Services & Industry Affairs for Wheaton, was awarded the Stephen F. Burns Extra Mile Award.
The Extra Mile Award was introduced in 2000 to acknowledge an agent, driver or corporate employee who performs the extraordinary every day. In 2011, Wheaton renamed the award to the Stephen F. Burns Extra Mile Award in honor of its Chairman of the Board. Award winner’s attributes include unselfish contributions to the Wheaton system and adherence to the company’s mission and values: Treat everyone honestly, fairly and professionally.
“Rex’s 40 years of experience allows him to know exactly what needs to be done and he quietly goes about it without fanfare, drama or direction from others,” said Wheaton CEO Mark Kirschner. “His dedication to our van line has helped us grow our military business and achieve consistent revenue growth. Rex is well respected within our industry and he’s personally been my “go-to” person over the years. Without fail, his support, advice and insight have been invaluable. I am honored to recognize Rex for this award.”
