INDIANAPOLIS – Wheaton World Wide Moving was recently announced as the 2015 American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA) Fleet Safety award winner in the 20-to-50 million miles category.
The AMSA Fleet Safety Award is given to a carrier in each of four mileage classes that demonstrates the best combination of the lowest U.S. Department of Transportation recordable accident rate per million miles of vehicle operation, and the lowest vehicle and driver out-of-service rate during the year.
“We are proud to receive this award from the American Moving & Storage Association in recognition of our fleet’s safety record,” said Dennis Whitaker, Wheaton director of safety. “It is an honor to share this award with the entire Wheaton family of drivers and agents. Our safety program is an integral part of our overall success and this award shows that we our fleet and our drivers are among the safest in the industry.”
AMSA is the national trade association representing more than 4,000 of the nation’s moving and storage companies, which provide household goods moving services, specialized transportation for sensitive freight and warehouse storage services. AMSA also helps educate consumers on how to easily identify quality, professional movers through its ProMover certification, which Wheaton has also earned.
