When it comes to corporate moving, safety and security are a primary concern
Wheaton’s service is unparalleled among business movers. And while attention to customer service and the details of the move are of primary importance, ensuring that our customers and their household goods arrive safely is key. Wheaton takes great pains to ensure that our services and the van line as a whole maintain the highest level of safety and security throughout the moving process.
Safety on the road
For three years running, Wheaton World Wide Moving has one of
the safest company fleets in the U.S. moving industry as designated
by the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). Wheaton
earned the Fleet Safety Award in the 20- to-50 million miles
category in January 2011 for the previous calendar year.
The AMSA Fleet Safety Award is given to a carrier in each of four
mileage classes that demonstrates the best combination of the
lowest accident rate per million miles of vehicle operation and
lowest vehicle and driver out-of-service rate during the year.
Wheaton is certified as a ProMover, AMSA’s program to help
consumers easily identify a quality, professional mover.
The AMSA is the national trade association representing more than
3,200 of the nation’s moving and storage companies, which provide
household goods moving services, specialized transportation for
sensitive freight, such as computers and trade show exhibits, and
warehouse storage services.
You can check the safety records of any van line by going to www.protectyourmove.gov - it’s a free service
of the Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMSCA).
Security in your home
Wheaton believes you should be comfortable in your home – either the one you’re leaving, or the one you’re moving into – no matter what. That’s why Wheaton was one of the first van lines in the country to implement a policy of mandatory background checks for all employees who come into contact with a Wheaton customer’s belongings.
