NEW AGENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Citizens Transfer & Storage Co., Inc., recently joined Wheaton World Wide Moving’s agency network as an interstate agent. Previously an agent for Allied Van Lines, the Southern Arizona moving and storage company joins more than 250 Wheaton agents across the country.
“Our company’s core values include total customer satisfaction and treating everyone honestly and with friendly professionalism,” said Jim Gaw, President of Wheaton World Wide Moving. “John and the team at Citizens Transfer share that customer-centered value, and we’re happy to add them to our network as a strong interstate agent serving all of southern Arizona.”
CITIZENS TRANSFER & STORAGE CO. BACKGROUND
The third-generation family moving service, which has been in owner John Belton’s family since 1922, shares the values and focus on customers that on the van line side goes all the way back to Wheaton’s founder, Ernest S. Wheaton.
The Tucson relocation company prides itself on their team of seasoned movers who solve any moving problem their customers face.
“My favorite move was moving a kiosk for Enterprise car rental at the airport. We moved two mobile offices: one measuring 12 feet by 20 feet and the other measuring 24 feet by 20 feet,” Belton said. “For the larger one, we used six sets of safe jacks and raised it off the ground by half an inch, so we didn’t hit the rafters. For the other, we made a sled with 16-foot two-by-fours and eight sets of wheels. It had to go from concrete to black top and a further distance. We used eight men and a forklift, and eight hours later, it had all gone just as planned, satisfying the customer.”
Citizens Transfer & Storage Co., Inc., is active in the Tucson Conquistadores, a non-profit organization that promotes youth athletics in Southern Arizona, with the goal of keeping the kids off the streets and into organized athletics.
