Whidbey Moving and Storage becomes a prime Wheaton World Wide Moving interstate agent

June 23, 2017 | Wheaton News & Events

OAK HARBOR, WASH.  ─ Whidbey Moving and Storage recently signed with Wheaton World Wide Moving’s network of more than 200 agents across the country. Whidbey had been a military-only agent for the van line, serving the greater Seattle area.

Whidbey’s 100-year history goes back to freight services provided by Oak Harbor Freight Lines (OHFL). In 1981, the moving and storage portion of the business was sold to Lee Bennett and Dwayne Jansen, who changed the name to Whidbey Moving and Storage. When Bennett and Jansen decided to retire in 2016, they sold to current owners Matthew and Connie Freeborn.

“We’ve had a great relationship with Whidbey Moving and Storage over the years,” said A.J. Schneider, Executive Vice President of Wheaton | Bekins. “We look forward to starting this new chapter with their team.”

The veteran-owned company is located at 1083 SE 4th Ave., Oak Harbor, WA 98277. Whidbey can be reached at 360-675-2070, and found online at www.whidbeymoving.com.
