Help Move For Hunger Earn $1M Grant from Chase Bank

October 3, 2011 | Wheaton News & Events

Move For Hunger, a not-for-profit initiative funded by Wheaton’s Neptune, N.J.-based agent, Lowy’s Moving Service, is currently 1 of only 25 organizations in America nominated for a $1,000,000 grant from Chase Bank.

Move For Hunger aligns interstate agents for Wheaton World Wide Moving and its customers with local food banks associated with Feeding America.

During the relocation process, Wheaton agents offer to pick up customers’ unwanted nonperishable items and deliver them directly to the local food bank. It’s a win-win for all parties – food banks get a much needed boost all year long, customers feel good about the donation (and may even offset some of the cost of their move by reducing the weight of heavier canned goods), and Wheaton is able to participate in a nationwide initiative to combat hunger.

Voting takes place via Facebook on the Chase Community Giving Facebook Page and is ongoing until Wednesday, Oct., 5. Help with hunger relief, vote now!
