Give Kids The World Village is a special place. It’s a resort in central Florida that provides cost-free vacations for children with critical diseases and their families. Stepping onto the grounds is like stepping into a fairy book. It’s an escape most of the kids wouldn’t be able to take without the generosity of many hard-working people.
Wheaton is proud to sponsor Keaton’s Korral, the village’s horse stable where kids from all walks of life get to ride and commune with horses. We’re proud to be part of this gift of time away for families burdened by crippling health issues. There’s no better feeling than seeing a child light up while they ride a horse for the first time.
The Move Against Hunger
Every day we move hundreds of families across the country. They trust us with moving their lives and belongings. Many times, we see things get discarded in the transition, for example. People throw away items, including food, that they no longer need rather than pay movers to take them to the new home.
One of our agents noticed this waste and came up with the idea to collect nonperishable food and useful items left behind and distribute them to families who could use them. Move for Hunger was born, and since its inception, we’ve partnered with other quality moving companies to bring millions of meals to those who need them.
When you move with us, simply set aside the food and items you wish to donate. Contact your Wheaton agent and let them know you’d like to participate in Move for Hunger, and we’ll do the rest to see that your donation makes it to those who can use it.
